Scope of Works
Pontoon was needed at short notice for a corporate dragon boat event at a riverside hotel venue on the Thames in Oxford. The enquiry came in late on a Friday afternoon, with the event scheduled for the following Tuesday. Leaving just four working days to design, source, transport and install a suitable boarding platform. The project involved working alongside a dragon boat racing specialist and a team-building events company to make sure the platform met the demands of the day’s racing.
Solution
Floating Pontoon Hire moved quickly to arrange pontoon hire for the event, designing and building a larger, purpose-suited boarding platform and mobilising the installation team to be onsite by Tuesday. The rapid response showed how flexible modular pontoon systems can be configured, transported and installed at short notice without compromising on safety or stability. Giving competitors a secure, stable platform to board from throughout the day’s racing.
