Floating Pontoon Hire has grown over many years to become one the largest and most respected specialist designers and installers of modular pontoon systems in the UK. We have a large inventory of pontoon stock along with a wide range of fittings and accessories enabling us to construct complicated and specialist installations as readily as simpler ones.

Qualified team

We have made significant investment in the training of our staff to give us a team fully qualified to operate across different market sectors of commercial, corporate and private. Across the team there is experience of installation for construction, railways, reservoirs, managed waterways and at sea.

Ownership

Floating Pontoon Hire is a trading division of Solent Rib Charters Ltd, Europe’s largest operator of ‘Rib’ motor boats. Solent Rib Charter is the official supplier to the Royal Navy, Royal Yachting Association, Cowes Week, Volvo Ocean Race, Americas Cup, Clipper Ventures, Offshore Challenges and many other prestigious organisations. We also benefit from our relationship with our sister company – Commercial Rib Charter. With a fleet of over 25 vessels CRC operate a variety of Catamarans and wheelhouse Ribs from 5m to 17m. CRC can provide you the right boat to meet your exact requirements with or without crew.

Extensive marine experience

With our extensive experience of marine operations in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, we have built a wealth of practical as well as technical know-how whether at sea or inland. We have installed pontoon systems across Europe and will happily work wherever we are required.

Inventory and vehicles

As well as our extensive inventory, we have a fleet of vehicles and trailers, some fitted with ‘Hiab’ cranes enabling us to manage delivery ‘in house’ so that we can install the system wherever and whenever required. Thanks to our association with Solent Rib Charter and Commercial Rib Charter we are also able to transport the system by water if practical – even at sea.
