Floating pontoon pumping manifold with multiple pipes suspended over water for reservoir pumping operations

Water companies

The recent dry summers have seen a drop in reservoir levels to such an extent that existing pump out locations have been left unable to pump the water that remains in the reservoirs. Our pontoons offer the perfect solution for housing submersible pumps and pipelines ‘offshore’ ensuring that water can continue to be accessed and supplied.

Moonpools

A moonpool is an opening in the deck of the pontoon which allows access to the water below. Such moonpools can be easily configured using our modular pontoon system, providing the ability to work safely from the deck of the pontoon itself whilst your equipment is lowered into the water. We can provide moonpools of any shape and size whether it’s a small moonpool just a metre square for one pump or moonpools able to accommodate multiple pumps at once along with ancillary equipment.

Lifting gantries

As well as the provision of the pontoon itself, we are able to supply lifting gantries, blocks, and tackles to be used with you pumps allowing for submersible pumps of any size to be suspended from the pontoon and submerged in the water below. Depending on the size and quantity of pumps required we can make use of the optimum gantry and moonpool combination.

Dewatering and dredging

Our pontoons can also be configured to provide larger pumps and equipment to be used for the purposes of dredging and dewatering of quarries and similar locations. Should particularly heavy plant and equipment be required then we can simply double stack our pontoons. A pontoon of just 5x5m double stacked could hold as much as 8 ton of equipment at its safe working load if configured correctly.
