Scope of Works
Suzuki required a floating berthing platform at the Southampton Boat Show to support their stand, providing a base from which visitors could board Rib rides run by Solent Rib Charter throughout the show. The pontoon needed to withstand high footfall over the course of the event, provide safe and stable boarding for passengers stepping directly onto the RIB, and hold up to the busy, high-traffic marina environment typical of one of the UK’s largest boat shows.
Solution
Floating Pontoon Hire supplied 42 m² of modular pontoon to form a dedicated berthing platform for the Suzuki stand, giving visitors safe and stable access to board Solent Rib Charter’s Rib for rides throughout the show. The pontoon was installed alongside the marina’s existing infrastructure, providing a secure boarding point that could handle continuous footfall over the course of the event without compromising safety or stability.
