Since August, Floating Pontoon Hire have been supplying a temporary access walkway to The Port of Dover within their public marina. Ongoing development works within The Port have led to the original access walkway becoming inaccessible and we were delighted to step in and ensure that berth holders continued to have uninterrupted access to their vessels.
The pontoon was delivered to site using one of our articulated haulage vehicles and lifted directly onto the water ensuring that within an hour of being onsite our team were under way with install. With Dover being such a busy port it was imperative that our team were able to install swiftly so as to cause as little inconvenience as possible.
In order to keep the pontoon in keeping with the existing gangways and walkways within the marina we have since installed a timber deck and ramps to the surface of the pontoon.
Our install in Dover is a perfect example of how our modular pontoon can be deployed and installed quickly.
