Yes, you did read that correctly and no it is not a subject I ever imagined I would be giving one of our blogs. However, here we are and how awesome it looked!
We had the immense pleasure of assisting Susan Fang on her debut catwalk showcase during the recent London Fashion Week. Making use of the incredible architecture offered by The Grade II listed Marshall Street Leisure Centre, (just a short walk from Oxford Circus in central London). Our pontoons were used to form a catwalk hugging both sides of the pool. Allowing models access on and off the water for what was truly an incredible spectacle.
The install itself was not without its challenges. Installing over 100 square metres of pontoon in central London, on a public swimming pool is tricky enough in terms of timings and access. Throw in the fact that install occurred on the same day as Her Majesty the Queens Funeral and the challenges were multiplied considerably. However, with excellent forward planning from our ops team and by working closely with Susan and the team at Marshall Street we were able to get the pontoon in promptly and without any issues.
