We have recently undertaken a number of jobs providing our pontoons on swimming pools in both private and public properties for inspections and repairs.
Our pontoons offer the perfect solution for access to rooves and walls in pools. Rather than having to drain a pool in its entirety, wasting water (a very valuable commodity these days) and losing valuable operating time we are able to install a pontoon in a matter of hours allowing a scaffold tower to be erected up to the required height.
One such instance occurred just last week in a Central London hotel. Our client had a requirement to undertake some investigative works on the ceiling for which a 4×4 metre pontoon with scaffold tower was required, in order to get to the pool our install crew had to break the pontoon down into smaller individual modules and carry them through the building down a service elevator and into the basement pool.
On closer inspection it was revealed that a significantly larger pontoon would be required to fill the entire pool as soon as possible, within 48 hours we had delivered and installed a further 120 square metres of pontoon (all broken down and transported through the building) for the client to begin essential repairs in the roof space.
The alternative to this approach would have been draining the pool, installing scaffolding on the pool floor and then having to refill the pool on completion, a costly and time consuming process.
