Being used in a commercial environment and being exposed to the elements 365 days a year. Over time our equipment can get a little worn down and show signs of wear and tear, when this happens we have 2 options, replace or refurbish.
In this instance our edge protection had started to show its age, with powder coating beginning to flake and rust beginning to set in. Always keen to find a more evironmentally friendly way, instead of disposing we sourced and tasked a professional metal restoration and cleaning company to restore and renew our edge protection.
Surface Processing took the task with ease. They Chemical dipped/stripped and repainted all our panels in no time. Using Chemical immersion which breaks down all unwanted grease/rust and paint off the panels to bring them back to bare metal it essentially is a big acid bath. Then it gets heat blasted and goes through one last final cleaning process to remove any remnants of the acid and finally off to the powder coaters and voila we have a restored panel with at least another 5 years of life added back onto it.
It can be a costly process, but we believe in spending the money to recycle and restore instead of disposing and replacing.
