Earlier this year we were approached by Artichoke Trust – Artichoke are a creative agency who work with artists to create extraordinary and ambitious public art in cities, the countryside and on coastlines around the UK.
There enquiry was a slightly odd one (even by our usual standards) in that they wanted to float a sheep on a pontoon, on a river in Yorkshire…….. A sheep? Thankfully for the well being of the sheep it was a sculpture rather than a living breathing mammal. The sheep made up part of The Herd – an arts and music project, part of Kirklees Year of Music 2023, which will see 23 larger-than-life singing sheep, like none you’ve ever seen before, appear in surprising places across Kirklees.
Happy to help and broaden the long list of jobs we’ve undertaken we supplied a decked pontoon which saw one of the Herd mounted on the pontoon and anchored in the middle of the River Calder.
We love a challenge and love coming up with unique solutions to our customers requsts so don’t hesitate to get in touch and give us a test.
