Generally speaking our blogs focus on the more bespoke jobs we do. Be it providing access platforms for a teambuilding event, a raft for an art install, featuring a giant sheep or the time we spotted Nessy on Loch Ness. You’d be forgiven for thinking that the weird and the wonderful is all we get up to with our pontoons.
That however is not the case (they just tend to make prettier pictures). The most common requirement for our pontoons and crews is very much bridge inpsections, surveys and maintenance.
The pontoons offer a safe, stable platform from which to undertake works. Whether its a simple visual inspection of the underside of the bridge. Or access towers and room for multiple crew are needed we can provide a pontoon to the and shape and size requirement you have. We can even supply the access towers with PASMA qualified operatives.
The pontoons can be fitted with outboard motors for manoeuvrability and we have RYA qualified skippers who we can provide to work alongside you whilst works are undertaken.
We’ve recently provided such services up and down the country from Dunkeld in Perthshire, Scotland to Ashford in Kent (only 527 miles between the 2). Small inspection pontoons such as those pictured below can be installed and removed in a matter of hours meaning 1 day inspections are possible keeping costs down for all.
